Yes. TechGuy provides repair services for Apple computers, including MacBooks, as well as Windows desktops and laptops. In many cases, repairs can be carried out that larger manufacturers may prefer to avoid by recommending full replacement instead.
All computers supplied by TechGuy include a warranty. For new custom-built PCs, warranty is typically between 1 and 3 years depending on the system, and the exact cover will always be clearly stated in your quotation. Refurbished desktop and laptop computers come with a 6 month warranty.
Yes, weekend appointments may sometimes be available depending on urgency and current workload.
No. TechGuy does not currently charge VAT.
Yes. A diagnostic fee of £90 applies. If the repair is carried out, the diagnostic fee is waived.

Terms of Service

Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services or delivery of goods, unless otherwise agreed in writing before work begins. All goods, parts and equipment supplied by TechGuy remain the property of TechGuy until paid for in full.

Data Responsibility
While every reasonable care is taken, TechGuy cannot accept responsibility for any loss of data during repairs, upgrades, software installations, system migrations or other technical work. Clients are strongly advised to ensure that important data is backed up before any work is carried out.

Warranty on Parts and Systems
Any new parts supplied are covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty, unless otherwise stated in writing. Warranty on complete systems supplied by TechGuy will be clearly stated at the time of quotation or sale.

Quotes and Estimates
All quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated. Any additional work, parts or services not included in the original quote will only be carried out with client approval and may be charged separately.

Approval for Additional Work
If further faults are identified or additional work is required after the original assessment, TechGuy will seek approval before proceeding where reasonably possible.

Client-Supplied Equipment or Parts
TechGuy cannot guarantee the performance, compatibility or reliability of equipment or parts supplied by the client. Any labour relating to fitting or testing client-supplied parts remains chargeable.

Service Scope
Work will be carried out based on the agreed job description, quotation or verbal instruction. Any request falling outside the agreed scope may require a revised quote or additional charge.

Liability
TechGuy’s liability is limited to the value of the work carried out or goods supplied. TechGuy shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, loss of profits, loss of income or loss of data.
